Ravens Light Exhibit For April 11th
February 5th, 2012
Charlotte, NC - April 11th, 2012 - Charlotte, NC
This themed exhibitby Stefan Duncan is related to a writing project I am doing called "Ravens Light. It is an epic fantasy. He is using models for the paintings. They will have wings or have a raven in the painting.
" I kind of look at myself as a raven, carrying the hurt and pain, the suffering, the lack of faith, and bringing them some of the Light. In Native American mythology it is the Raven that steals the Light from another world and brings it here," Stefan said.
"As an artist, I try to capture in my imagination and spiritual eye the Light I see around me and landscapes, even in the eyes of people. Ravens Light is about the darkness of the world and the flight or ascension through faith to reach the Light. An object is green because its surface repells the green color. Ravens are black because their feathers repell the black color. They receive the Light or light colors," Stefan said.
